The Law on State Survey and Cadastre ("Official Gazette RS", No. 72 of September 3rd, 2009, 18 of March 26th, 2010, 65 of July 25th, 2013, 15 of February 6th, 2015 - CC, 96 of November 26th, 2015, 47 of May 15th, 2017 - Authentic Interpretation, 113 of December 17th, 2017 - other law, 27 of April 6th, 2018 - other law, 41 of May 31st, 2018 - other law, 9 of February 4th, 2020 - other law, hereinafter: the Law), regulates, among other things, the tasks of professional supervision of the state survey.
State survey is professional work in the areas of: cadastral survey, surveying in the process of arranging land territory by land consolidation (hereinafter: land consolidation surveying), utilities surveying, topographical surveying and state border surveying (Article 3 of the Law)
Professional supervision, review and acceptance of works in the field of state surveying is carried out by the Republic Geodetic Authority, Sector for Supervision and Control in accordance with the provisions of Article 29 of the Law. The provisions of the Rulebook on Professional Supervision and Inspection and Acceptance of Works ("Official Gazette RS", No. 43/2010) prescribe the procedure for professional supervision, inspection and acceptance of works for which the development of the main design is planned.
Professional supervision over the performance of the cadastral survey begins when the investor of the works submits a request to the Republic Geodetic Authority for professional supervision of the cadastral and land consolidation works. Upon receiving a request for professional supervision, the Republic Geodetic Authority checks whether all the prerequisites necessary for the start of professional supervision have been met, namely:
If all the stated prerequisites are met, the Republic Geodetic Authority commences professional supervision.
Professional supervision, inspection and acceptance of works in the field of state survey implies quality control of the works performed as well as the application of regulations, standards, technical norms, etc.
