Pursuant to the Law on State Survey and Cadastre ("Official Gazette of the RS", no. 72/09, 18/10, 65/13, 15/15-CC decision, 96/15 and 47/17-authentic interpretation), the scope of the Republic Geodetic Authority covers geodetic works and tasks of the state administration related to topographic surveying, topographic-cartographic activities and remote sensing. Topographic survey data and data from other sources are kept in the topographic-cartographic database. For the purpose of updating the topographic-cartographic database, periodic aerial surveying of the territory of the Republic of Serbia is carried out and data collection using other methods and procedures.
Topographic products collected and produced by the Department of Topography and Cartography are satellite imagery, aerial photogrammetric imagery, digital orthophoto, digital terrain model, basic topographic model, state maps and remote sensing products. Based on the Framework License Agreement (FLA), the Republic Geodetic Authority creates and updates EuroGeographics products: EuroBoundaryMap, EuroGlobalMap and EuroRegionalMap.
