The Unit performs the following works:

• operational planning, organization and implementation of the internal audit of all internal units of the RGA, all programs, activities and processes within the competence of the RGA, including those financed by donations, loans and from other sources, applying the regulations of the Republic of Serbia, internal audit standards, code of professional ethics of internal auditors and best professional practice;
• examination and evaluation of the adequacy and efficiency of the internal control system;
• examination of the accuracy and reliability of accounting records, financial reports and electronic information systems;
• verification of operations in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, regulations on operations and implementation of policies and procedures;
• provision of professional instructions and professional assistance from the scope of their work;
• cooperation with the State Audit Institution and other governmental bodies;
• reporting on the results of the internal audit;
• preparation of monthly reports on the implementation of tasks within the scope of internal audit.
